Stefan Banas started making and producing music in early 2001.
He achieved all his skills by himself trying to produce local acts and
work on own sound experiments.
Through the years he became more professional with more and
better equipment.
Inspired by an epic cartoon from the internet called “rusty spoons”
he decided to call himself “Die Rostigen Löffel”. Within the following
years he went on remixing for contests (for Nude, Nine Inch Nails
and Pigface) and producing his own stuff.
In 2007 he won a remix competition hosted by Martin Atkins for
the song “Suck” (feat. Trent Reznor) by Pigface.
Later in 2007 he released his fi rst album “Paranoid” on “Chunk Records”
followed up in 2008 by the second release “Plakativ”.
Beside these two releases he also worked on with remixing for Martin
Atkin’s label “Invisible” for Bands like “Pigface”, “Damage Manual”
and “RX” (a side-project of Nivek Ogre of “Skinny Puppy” and Martin
Atkins).
